Meet Your Cumberland County 2018 Hometown Heroes

Last Edited:

Every year for a decade now, we’ve asked our readers to nominate folks who give of their time and talents to make our community a better place to live and work. Each year we recognize roughly two dozen people as Hometown Heroes. And each year, the quality of the accomplishments of our honorees is as impressive as that of the two dozen honorees who came before them.

SNJ Today/The Grapevine has now honored more than 225 Hometown Heroes since the first slate of honorees were chosen in 2009—and raised more than $60,000 in the first nine years for local charities.

Proceeds go to the Rotary Club of Vineland Charities Foundation and The Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA. Tickets are $70 for one, $130 per ticket for more than one, seating of eight to 10 per table available. Tickets are available at SNJ Today’s offices (600 G St., Suite 1240, Millville) during regular business hours or by calling 856-327-8800.

The Gala will take place at the Greenview Inn at the Eastlyn Golf Course on Friday, March 23rd. Tickets will include a full buffet dinner, cash bar, and dancing. Music by BME Event Group.

Compiled by Mickey Brandt, Deborah A. Ein, Mike Epifanio and Nicole Mingo.
