A South Jersey middle school was recently honored and awarded thanks to their students' excellent character.

Somerdale Park School was selected as having the most outstanding middle school character education program in the county by the Camden County Technical School District, Camden County Board of Freeholders, and Camden County College.

For receiving this honor, students and staff at the school were presented with two checks totaling $500, to be used toward funding a future character education program.

Officials say character education reinforces core values needed for success and that Somerdale Park exemplifies all aspects of character education with enthusiasm and pride.
