LANDISVILLE, N.J. -

Bellview Winery is preparing to welcome people in this weekend for an early Valentine’s celebration as they pair wine and chocolate.

“It’s actually throughout the entire region," said Sofia Zych, general manager at Bellview Winery. "It’s part of the Garden State Wine Growers Association’s Wine Trail Weekend, so it’s not just us it’s all the of the wineries throughout the area are doing something.”

At the winery in Landisville, they’ll be offering their regular eight samples of wine for $6 each. But just for this weekend, they’ll also have an $8 wine and chocolate pairing.

“It’s about a two-ounce pour, so it’s a little bit heavier than your normal pour," said Zych. "You get four of those so it should be equivalent to a glass when you’re done. Then you get two pieces of chocolate.”

The wine flight will have something for both white and red wine drinkers with a variety of 1892 Chocolate, an Ecuadorian chocolate that’s made right in Collingswood.

“We have Cygness, which is part of our Celestial series," said Zych. "It’s an off-dry white, that is paired with goldenberry chocolate. Goldenberry is actually the fruit, it’s nice and tart so it pairs really well."

As for the reds …

“We have our Chambourcin, which is a dry red varietal," said Zych. "That is paired with our sea salt chocolate. That one is kind of sweet and salty and savory and delicious.”

Their limited quantity of Love Potion will make an appearance on tap this weekend as well.

“That one is a pomegranate blend, that is paired with mango chocolate,” said Zych.

And lastly, they paired a sweet port wine with a chocolate with coffee in it.

“We try to make it exciting and relaxing and enjoyable," said Zych. "We will have the fire pits if it doesn’t rain. We have an acoustic guitarist playing both days. We have a light fare. It’s just a nice environment to kind of sit and enjoy.”

Bellview Winery will be open for both your wine and chocolate needs Saturday, February 10th and Sunday, February 11th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
