Auditions at Cumberland County College for April PlayLast Edited:
If you love performing in plays or have always wanted to test your acting chops, a local theatre department is looking for you.
On Monday, January 29th, the Cumberland County College's Department of Theatre is holding open auditions for the production of the play You Can't Take It With You, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Director Deborah Bradshaw seeks nine men and seven women for a variety of roles. Members of the community are invited to audition.
Anyone who has the chutzpah to audition should be prepared to read from the script. Do not be concerned with performing a monologue because it won't be required. However, you will be expected to bring a resume and a headshot.
For those who are selected to participate in the play, rehearsals will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
CCC's Department of Theatre will present its version of You Can't Take It With You, a heart-warming and critically acclaimed comedy by Moss Heart and George S. Kaufman, and winner of the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, from Thursday, April 12th to Sunday, April 15th.
