CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. -

Virtua celebrated a major milestone for one of its program that brings healthy meals to families in need.

Last May, Virtua launched its Mobile Farmers Market to provide families in need with easy and convenient access to fresh produce to improve their health and reduce hunger in the area.

With a goal of serving 6,000 families in the first year, officials have announced that they have already exceeded their goal.

In the last seven months, the Mobile Farmers Market has served more than 29,000 pounds of fresh produce to over 6,7000 families in Burlington and Camden counties.

Officials say they are thrilled with the mobile market's progress and how well the community has responded to it, and hope to continue to serve even more families throughout the area.
