Cape May-Lewes Ferry to Resume Operations This Week

CAPE MAY, N.J. -

The Delaware River and Bay Authority says that the Cape May-Lewes Ferry will return to service on Thursday with a limited operations schedule.

The ferry service has been closed since Thursday, January 4th due to icy conditions in the Delaware Day.

On Thursday, January 11th, the ferry will depart from Cape May at 10:30 a.m. Due to low water and potential ice conditions, the first round-trip from Cape May that is scheduled for 7 a.m. has been canceled.

Normal operations are expected to resume on Friday, January 12th. Officials are asking that travelers who plan on using the ferry confirm that it is operating before coming.

Go to the Cape May-Lewes Ferry website for updates on any scheduling changes.
