VINELAND, NJ — Vineland's Code Blue Warming Center will open at 7 p.m., Tuesday evening, January 8, 2018, at a new location — the Living Hope Church, 1059 W. Landis Avenue.
Dinner will be provided by the M25 Initiative and served at 8 p.m.
The M25 Initiative's president and founder, Rob Weinstein, thanked everybody involved in both keeping homeless individuals off the streets in Cumberland County during the recent stretch of freezing and below-freezing temperatures and for the new location.
"Thanks to our volunteers, coordinators, and city officials, the Vineland Code Blue Warming Center is being moved to a new location to open this evening at 7 p.m.," he said via e-mail.
Volunteers are needed for shifts; click here to volunteer or call 1-888-410-3973, ext. 715.
Government employees, healthcare workers, emergency management officials, and clergy can volunteer with appropriate ID.
"Thank you for this Code Blue Vineland Miracle! Thank you to Mayor Fanucci, M25 Vice President Carlos Mercado, and Ms. Cathy Gardner for their servant-leadership," added Weinstein in his Tuesday morning message.
