ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

The Atlantic City rumor mill has been turning over the last few weeks regarding the possible sale of the former Revel property, and today those rumors have been confirmed as true.

On Monday, January 8th, Colorado developer Bruce Deifik confirmed that he has purchased the casino-hotel for $200 million from Florida developer Glenn Straub.

Deifik plans to reopen the Revel as the Ocean Resort Casino this summer, which is around the same time the former Taj Mahal is scheduled to reopen as the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Straub purchased the property from bankruptcy court after it closed its doors in 2014.
