N.J. Has a Finalist for National Teacher of the Year for First Time in Decades

For the first time in nearly 50 years, New Jersey's Teacher of the Year is a finalist for the national award, according to the state. Amy T. Andersen, an American Sign Language teacher at Ocean City High School, will compete against three other educators for 2018 National Teacher of the Year, the state Department of Education announced Thursday.
