New statistics show that more people are packing their bags and moving away from New Jersey.

On Tuesday, January 2nd, the United Van Lines moving company released its 41st Annual National Movers Study, which revealed that New Jersey has one of the highest rates of outbound moves in the country.

The study tracks customers' state-to-state migration patterns and showed that more Americans are moving to the West with states such as Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada seeing the high percentage of inbound migration throughout 2017.

New Jersey was joined by New York, Illinois, Connecticut, and Kansas on the list of states that saw more people moving out than moving in.
