MILLVILLE— A local soccer player has been recognized as one of the best players in the country in her age group.
Aaniyah Street, 13, has landed a spot in the U.S. National U14 pool. In January she will travel to Arizona for one week to train with other players her age from all around the country.
She will be trained by some of the best coaches in the country.
In March, Street and her East Regional teammates were invited to Iceland to play against teams from all over the world.
Street started her soccer career a few years ago in the Millville Soccer Association Recreation League and has played travel soccer for the Millville Mutiny and Millville Pride over the past three seasons.
In 2016, Street tried out for the Olympic Development Program and was selected to participate in the South Jersey pool of players, where she eventually joined the state and regional pool of players.
