ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

A Colorado company rumored to be purchasing the former Revel Casino in Atlantic City has applied for a New Jersey casino license.

The application for the license, which was filed back in October, is the latest indication that the shuttered casino is in the process of being sold, despite denials from its current owner, Florida developer Glenn Straub.

On Tuesday, December 12th, Moody's Investors Service issued a report stating that the Colorado company — AC Ocean Walk LLC has presented its plans to purchase Revel for $200 million and reopen the property in May 2018.

A lawyer with AC Ocean Walk has not responded to requests for comments about the rumored sale.
