MILLVILLE, N.J. -

A South Jersey-based manufacturing company of unmanned aircraft systems has been awarded a top-level contract to bring critical technology overseas.

On Thursday, December 7th, the Delaware River and Bay Authority announced that Pentagon Performance Incorporated has received notice of consideration for an award of a $50-million contract to provide intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance services to help protect and assist United Nations Peacekeepers on a mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The company received the notification back in September and is currently in the final stages of contract negotiations.

Earlier this year, Pentagon Performance Incorporated leased a hangar at the Millville Executive Airport, and officials say the new contract is expected to create more high-tech and administrative jobs in the area.
