ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

Members of the United States Coast Guard sprang into action to rescue a man on a fishing boat five miles off the coast of Atlantic City.

On Sunday, December 3rd, Watchstanders with the Coast Guard Atlantic City station received a call during the afternoon that a 92-year-old man was experiencing possible cardiac issues while out on a fishing boat.

Rescuers came to the man's aid, taking him off the fishing boat and then escorting him back to shore.

He was then transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center—City Campus (Atlantic City) where he was reported to be in stable condition.
