Stockton Hosts Veterans Day Events, Saturday Concert

Last Edited:

On Friday, November 10th, Stockton University held a Veterans Day observance ceremonies with several different events on its South Jersey campuses.

Festivities included guest speakers and a traditional laying of the wreath at Veterans Park.

Stockton officials say honoring a veteran and Veterans Day is the least that can be done for all the brave men and women who gave so much.

"Everyday we should honor our service members and our veterans, but one day out of the entire year to really do that, we should do that for them," said Jason Babin, with Stockton's Office of Military and Veterans Services.

"They've given so much of themselves to give us the freedoms that we have, so we do everything we can to make them feel that they are a part of communities, they they are valued, and that what they did was important."

Stockton will continue their Veterans Day events on Saturday, November 11th, with a performance from the Bay Atlantic Symphony at the Performing Arts Center on the Pomona (Galloway Township) campus at 7:30 p.m.

The Veterans Day Concert is free, but you must reserve your spot by going to stocktonpac.org.
