Governor-Elect Murphy Pledges to Work Harmoniously with Teachers

Last Edited:

On Friday, November 10th, Governor-elect Phil Murphy spoke to teachers at the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) Convention in Atlantic City.

Murphy delivered a speech to the participants who attended the annual convention promising a kinder relationship — moving forward — than teachers unions had under the Christie administration.

The Democrat has vowed in the past to fully fund public schools, but has not made it clear on how he plans to do that.

Teachers and school officials from across the state gather for the NJEA Convention each year to learn about various resources, and gain knowledge about new changes and advancements in education.
