CHERRY HILL, N.J. -

Officials in Camden County held a special career fair on Thursday.

On Thursday, November 9th, the Camden County Freeholder Board and the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey held the Camden County Veterans Career Fair for veterans, active-duty military, members of the guard and reserve, as well as any military family members.

The fair gave job seekers the chance to meet face to face with employers from various companies, which offered a wide variety of positions.

Officials say the career fair is a great way to help soldiers who have recently ended their military careers, make a smooth transition back into civilian life.

"This is important because we really need to support the men and women who have served our country, we owe it to them to bring them jobs," said Kathleen Davis, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Southern New Jersey.

Employers at the event included Inspira Health Network, Comcast, South Jersey Federal Credit Union, Uber and much more.

The career fair also offered workshops that focused on interview techniques, resume writing, and job search resources.
