Law Enforcement Opportunities Spotlighted at Rowan

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, N.J. -

A Law Enforcement Career Fair took place at Rowan on Thursday to give members of the Gloucester County community a chance to explore career opportunities in police departments and prosecutors offices throughout the area.

According to officials, the aim of the Nov. 9th event was to increase the diversity in public-safety jobs in the county. Officials say the event is a great way to give prospective employees a chance to see the various career options available in the law-enforcement field.

"It's an opportunity to get involved with a career," said Sean Dalton, Gloucester County prosecutor, "which potentially could last the next 25 years of your life, and be a positive part of the changes occurring in our communities throughout the country.

"To be part of that I think is a very noble and honorable profession."

The Law Enforcement Career Fair is part of the Law Enforcement Diversity Initiative, which was started by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, the Gloucester County NAACP, and the Gloucester County Police Chiefs Association back in 2014.
