Jeff Van Drew Keeps Seat in 1st District Senate Race

Longtime Democratic State Senator Jeff Van Drew easily kept his seat against Republican Mary Gruccio with Van Drew getting 65 percent of the vote compared to Gruccio's 34 percent on Election Day 2017.

On the Assembly side of the state, House seats were up for election all across South Jersey.

In the 1st District, incumbent Democrats Bob Andrzejczak and Bruce Land beat out Republican challengers James Sauro and Robert Campbell.
