Stockton Releases Latest Poll on 2nd Legislative District Race

The Stockton Polling Institute of the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy has released the results of its latest poll, which reveals Republican Chris Brown holds a slight lead in the race for the 2nd Legislative District senate seat.

The poll, which surveyed 530 likely voters, reveals that Brown leads his opponent Democratic candidate Colin Bell by just three percentage points.

Brown earned 46 percent of support, while Bell pulled in 43 percent. Ten percent of voters of were undecided.

While Republicans take the lead in the race for senate, Democrats hold the lead for Assembly seats in the 2nd Legislative District with incumbent Vince Mazzeo (D-N.J.) and running mate John Armato earning 31 percent and 27 percent, respectively.

Republicans Vince Sera and Brenda Taube trail with 17 and 18 percent, respectively.

In this race seven percent of voters are undecided.

Both landlines and cell phones were called for the poll from Thursday, October 26th, to Wednesday, November 1st. The poll has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 4.3 percentage points.
