Coast Guard Rescues Boat Off Cape May Coast

CAPE MAY, N.J. -

The United States Coast Guard sprang into action on Wednesday, November 1st, after a boat began to sink off the coast of Cape May.

Bystanders in the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay Command Center in Philadelphia received a call around 10 a.m. on Wednesday that a 52-foot vessel was taking on water six miles east of Cape May, and that two people were still on board.

Both people were rescued from the boat and rescuers were able to escort the boat back to shore.

No injuries or pollution were reported.
