Lower Township Police Investigate Suspicious Car Fire

Police in Lower Township are investigating a suspicious car fire that happened in the early hours Thursday.

On Thursday, November 2nd, officers responded to the First Block of East Delaware Parkway in the Villas for a reported car fire that had destroyed the entire interior of the vehicle around 1:30 a.m.; no injuries were reported.

Upon further investigation, police discovered a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the vehicle — a 2014 Hyundai Accent — which was a Turkey Hill bottle filled with gasoline.

Witnesses on the scene say they saw two or three juveniles running from the area shortly after the fire started.
