Although Halloween may be coming to an end, one thing that won't be going away is sticking around, and things are about to get pretty batty for drivers on the Atlantic City Expressway. 

Bat Houses With some inspiration from "Bat Week," the South Jersey Transportation Authority has officially started to roll out its new plan to build a total of 20 bat houses at its three maintenance yards and two toll plazas on the Atlantic City Expressway.

Bats play a critical and vital role in the ecology of the environment, and officials say the new bat houses will help keep the bat population safe so they can do their job of pollinating plants and controlling the mosquito population.
