OCEAN CITY, N.J. -

This past weekend, hundreds took to the Ocean City Boardwalk for a stroll with the aim of helping to bring an end to drunk driving.

On Sunday, October 29th, the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers held its 7th annual 5k Walk to help spread the word about the dangers of drunk driving, and to enlist designated drivers.

Whether participants walked or ran, everyone had to chance to march to honor the memory of those who have lost their lives to drunk driving.

The Ocean City Police Department was on hand to give the campaign a donation of $1,000 to support its efforts.
