ATLANTIC COUNTY, N.J. -

Homeownership is going down in Atlantic County, according to a real estate data analytics group.

Gavop.com has issued a study report showing that Atlantic County is following the national trend of decreasing homeownership.

According to the study, which focuses on the differences between 2005 and 2015, Atlantic County has seen a decrease in homeownership across all age groups below 60 years old.

The bright spot, however, was an increase of 16.9 percent in homeownership for residents over 60 years old. The highest decrease was for those under 35 years old, which saw a decrease of nearly 34 percent.

Gavop used numbers from the United States Census Bureau for the study.
