Food Industry Commercialization Center to Be Built in Bridgeton

Congressman Frank LoBiondo announced on Thursday, October 5th, that Cumberland County has received grant funding for a project that will bring more jobs into the area.

The Cumberland County Improvement Authority (CCIA) was awarded a $2.5 million grant from the United States Economic Development Administration to begin construction of a Food Industry Commercialization Center.

The new center will be located next to the Rutgers Food Innovation Center in Bridgeton and is expected to create 190 jobs.

The Food Industry Commercialization Center will be a 27,000-square-foot multi-tenant facility and will offer flexible spaces for companies needing space for industrial food processing, shipping, and administrative use.

The total cost of the project is $9.2 million.
