More N.J. State Police Officers Head to Puerto Rico

Governor Chris Christie announced that he has deployed more State Troopers to help with hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

Christie announced that 48 troopers with the New Jersey State Police have departed to Puerto Rico to meet up with the New Jersey State Police Advance Team, which was deployed last week.

These additional troopers will focus primarily on law enforcement and humanitarian aid to the island.

Christie has mobilized 1,100 emergency responders and soldiers to the island and said he will continue to deploy help as needed as requested by the governor of Puerto Rico.
