Colin Bell Sworn in to Complete Whelan's Unexpired Term

New Jersey's State Senate officially swore in Colin Bell to the late Jim Whelan's senate seat.

On Thursday, October 5th, Bell, a former Atlantic County Freeholder and prosecutor, officially took his spot in senate to complete Whelan's unexpired term.

At the senate meeting on Thursday, officials also unanimously passed a bipartisan resolution honoring the life and service of Jim Whelan. Another bill was formally introduced to rename Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall in Whelan's honor.

Whelan passed away from a heart attack in August and is remembered for his decades of service and dedication to southern New Jersey.
