ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

Wednesday, October 4th was National Coffee with a Cop Day and a local police department teamed up with a popular fast-food chain to brew up a few memories.

The Atlantic City Police Department and the Arkansas Avenue McDonald's hosted a Coffee with a Cop event in the city on Wednesday to give members of the community and officers a chance to spend time together.

Officers served up happy meals and held a discussion with families in attendance about after-school safety and other community issues.

Officials say the event is a fun way for residents to express their appreciation and get to know the men and women who protect their neighborhoods.
