Camden's LEAP Academy Charter School Celebrates 20th Anniversary

A local charter school celebrated a major milestone 20 years in the making.

Local officials, students, parents, and alumni gathered on the morning of Tuesday, September 19th, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Camden's LEAP Academy University Charter School.

Speakers including Mayor Dana Redd and Camden City Councilman Frank Moran who spoke about the academy's growing success over its 20 years in service and how it has greatly impacted and benefited the lives of thousands of kids in the community.

Since 2005 every class to graduate from the academy achieved 100 percent acceptance and graduation rates and officials hope the school will continue the positive trend for years to come.
