Traffic Detours During Audubon Bridge Replacement

Last Edited:
AUDUBON, N.J. -

Drivers in one Camden County community will need to start planning a new route for their commute.

The Department of Public Works will temporarily be closing the East Atlantic Avenue bridge over Nicholson Road in Audubon beginning on Thursday, September 14th, for construction.

The old bridge will be replaced to improve the roadway to ultimately increase highway safety for drivers.

Detour plans call for traffic on East Atlantic Avenue to use the White Horse Pike from Merchant Street to Holly Avenue.

Drivers traveling on Nicholson Road should use Kings Highway from the White Horse Pike to the Black Horse Pike.

Officials say the timeline for the project will span about a year, but could change depending on weather and other factors.
