MILLVILLE, N.J. -

A local emergency response unit took on a new name and a new partner to better serve the community.

On Wednesday, August 13th, local officials, representatives with Inspira Health Network and members of the Millville Rescue Squad gathered in Millville to officially unveil the new sign and name for the squad.

Officials say the partnership between Inspira and the newly named Inspira Emergency Medical Services Millville Station will allow the members of the squad to better assist their patients.

"I always say that they're our best and brightest in that rescue squad and how proud I am of them because of the work they do," said New Jersey State Senator Jeff Van Drew.

"The commitment they have for patients [is phenomenal] and I know for Inspira it's the same."

The ceremony included a brief program to discuss their future plans.

There was also a plaque dedicated to John Redden, former CEO and retired member of the Millville Rescue Squad, for his commitment to excellence throughout the years, which helped them reach the point where they are today.
