CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.J. -

While the Powerball winner of the $750 million jackpot was not from New Jersey, 28 others in the state, including here in South Jersey, still woke up with some extra cash in their pockets.

Two winning tickets for $1 million dollars were sold in New Jersey, and one of those two was sold in Cumberland County.

The owner of the CITGO Gas Station on Route 47 in Dorchester, who sold the winning $1 million ticket says he's excited to hear that someone locally hit it big right here in his store.

"Hopefully the first thing I want to see is that somebody local who has won you know, I want to see someone from own town who won the thing," said Abdul Khaen, owner of the CITGO Gas Station. "If something he does locally to the community that'll be great to see you know."

Several people in the Garden State won a $50,000 prize, including two winners in Camden County and one in Atlantic County.

Officials with the New Jersey Lottery said there were more than 480,000 players throughout the state who won more than $2.6 million in prizes ranging from $4 to $400.

The winning numbers for the Powerball were 06-07-16-23-26, and the Powerball number was 04.

The Powerball jackpot will reset to $40 million for the next drawing on Saturday, August 26th.
