Sea shell lovers from all over made their way down the Cape May County Friday, August 18th, to see some of the ocean's finest treasures.

The 43rd annual Jersey Cape Shell Club Show kicked off in Stone Harbor offering visitors a chance see a variety of sea shells from around the world.

From classic shells and pearls, to some of the oceans most exotic finds, the Shell Show has a variety of displays, and officials hope the event will show visitors that there's more to shells than meets the eye.

"People are amazed at the variety of shells from around the world and the colors and patterns," said Phillip Dietz chairman of Jersey Cape Shell Club. "They've been to the shore, but they never really realized sea shells could be this beautiful."

Sea shell fans will be able to purchase shells and souvenirs as well as take part in a raffle for a variety of sea-shell related gifts.

The show will run all weekend until 4 p.m. each day and admission is $3 for adults and free for children 12 years of age and under.
