Police Need Your Help in Bridgeton Shooting Investigation

Update: Police say one of the victims, 25-year-old Eric Blocker has died of his injuries.

Police are investigating the shooting of three people that occurred on Wednesday, August 9th, in Bridgeton. 

Officers from the Bridgeton Police Department were called to the area of Morton and North Pearl streets a little after 10 p.m. in response to the shooting.

When they arrived, police found three victims who had been shot. 

One woman, who had been shot in the back, was discovered on the ground, behind a 2016 Nissan Maxima.

Inside the car, police found Blocker, who had been shot multiple times — in his torso and arms — while another woman who was across the street, at the time of the shooting, had a gunshot wound to her leg.

All of the victims were flown to Cooper Trauma Center, where one of them remains in critical condition. The 22-year-old woman who was across the street has been treated and released.

Police said they found 23 spent shell casings at the scene.
