Parts of Expressway Closed for Atlantic City Triathlon This Weekend

If you're heading into Atlantic City on the morning of Saturday, August 5th, you may want to plan a different route.

A traffic advisory is in place as the city prepares for the 7th annual Atlantic City Triathlon.

Exits Five, Four, Two, and One on the the Atlantic City Expressway will be closed between 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. as over 1,500 athletes will be taking over the roadways.

Expect a few delays on US 40 (Albany Avenue) in both directions between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Drivers are asked to use the Black Horse Pike (Route 30) to enter and exit the city or to make a detour plan to use the Atlantic City Expressway.

Ventnor residents are asked to use West End Avenue as an alternate route.
