ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

On Thursday, August 3rd, the 2017 Beachfest Concert Series ended with a concert featuring the Ruff Ryders.

However, before the hip-hop group hit the stage, its members decided to hit the streets of Atlantic City in an effort to inspire a few lucky boys and girls.

On Wednesday, August 2nd, the well-known rap lyricists, in addition to representatives from Live Nation, stopped by the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City to meet and converse with children there.

The group shared a few words of wisdom in an attempt to encourage the youngsters to never give up on their dreams despite what obstacles are placed in their paths.

The gates to the Ruff Ryders and Friends beach concert opened at 5 p.m.

In July, pop music star Pink and country music star Brantley Gilbert performed in the city's inaugural Beachfest Series.
