NEW JERSEY -

On Monday, July 24th, a New Jersey military hero made his final trip home with the help of local law enforcement and motorcyclists from across the East Coast.

Dan Baldassare, a 20-year-old Marine corporal from Freehold, who was tragically killed in a military plane crash earlier this month. He was escorted from Delaware back to his hometown for his funeral.

New Jersey State Police, local law enforcement, and various motorcycle groups, including the Virigina Chapter of the Strength and Honor Motorcycle Club, came together to give the fallen Marine a proper send off.

"You honor the warrior, the ones that go out there and defend our freedom," said Jack "Highway" Hill, "and as an American and as anybody else in our society here, we should be honoring the sacrifices of our veterans."

Cpl. Baldassare was one of 15 Marines and one Navy sailor who were killed after a KC-130 aircraft exploded and crashed in Mississippi.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
