Students Open Farm Stand for Glassboro Community

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, N.J. -

A high school food stand officially opened up for the season and a group of South Jersey students are ready to work.

Glassboro High School kicked off the opening of a student-run farm stand on Tuesday, July 11th, which sells fresh, locally grown produce — such as eggplant, blueberries, peaches, and tomatoes — to residents in the community.

The stand not only helps local farmers sell their products, but also helps the students gain job skills and build their work ethic, which officials hope will better prepare them for life after high school.

The farm stand is located in front of Glassboro High School, and will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until August 10th.
