The Cumberland County Positive Youth Development Coalition (CCPYDC) hosted an awards event in recognition of the winners of the Stand-Up for Gun Safety Art Contest celebrating June as Gun Safety and Violence Awareness Month in Cumberland County.
The art contest was open to 4th through 8th-grade students in Cumberland County. The CCPYDC received 52 submissions; five Coalition Members from the County Workgroup judged the art submissions. The panel of judges came up with the five winning entries that will be displayed next week as it wraps up the Gun Safety & Violence Awareness campaign through their social media accounts.
The CCPYDC thanked the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, Steel Pier, Chick-fil-A, as well as other organizations who would like to remain anonymous, for their generous prize donations.
