LIVE: Giant Pink Ribbon Cutting in Atlantic City (June 30, 2017)

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On June 30th, 2017, at 12 p.m., the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk will serve as the site for the longest ribbon cutting in the city’s storied history.

In celebration of Pink’s July 12th beach concert, hundreds are expected to line the famed wooden walkway, stretching out a giant pink ribbon that will be ceremoniously cut by Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian at approximately 12:20 pm at Bally’s Casino (in front of the Dennis Courtyard).

The Tara Miller Foundation’s Pink Bus is expected to be on the Boardwalk as part of the festivities and the many pink-themed happenings throughout Atlantic City that day.

Later in the evening, at 7 p.m., the foundation will host its 4th Annual Tara Miller Foundation Make the Best of It Bash at the Tropicana Casino Resort.

George Miller from the Tara Miller Foundation and representatives from all of Atlantic City’s casinos, businesses, construction workers from ACDEVCO’s Gateway project, artists from the Atlantic City Ballet and even Seaweed, the mascot from the Atlantic City Aquarium, will all be dressed in pink garb and among those joining Guardian for the festive ribbon cutting.

The community-wide effort is being led by longtime Atlantic City resident and Masterpiece Advertising President Phyllis Lacca, whose marketing communications agency was again retained by Live Nation to promote the Atlantic City’s summer beach concerts.

Brantley Gilbert is scheduled to follow Pink on the beach on July 13.

“Pink’s concert can generate a great deal of positive attention and publicity for Atlantic City, which is already undergoing major changes as a result of the new ACDEVCO Gateway project and the opening of the Hard Rock Casino,” said Lacca. “Our jobs as residents and business owners is to ensure that light shines as brightly as possible on Atlantic City, and that everyone once again sees our world-famous resort through ‘Pink’ colored glasses.”

Casino and local businesses, their employees and the general public are encouraged to come out to hold the ribbon and support Atlantic City in kicking off #ACSUMMEROFPINK!
