Heavy Winds Cause Building Collapse in North Wildwood

NORTH WILDWOOD -

Extreme winds are suspected to be the impetus behind the collapse of a building in North Wildwood.

On Sunday, June 18th, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Wildwood Fire Department were called to secure a construction area that was the site of the structural collapse located on the 400 block of West Spruce Avenue in North Wildwood.

Officials say the high winds caused a masonry wall between two buildings to topple over.

Construction workers were not on the site when the collapse happened and no one was injured.
