Food Bank of South Jersey to Feed Hungry Children

Last Edited:

SOUTH JERSEY—School is out for summer and officials at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey want to make sure no child in South Jersey goes hungry this season.

For children who face hunger and rely on meal programs offered by schools during the school year, the summer months can be tough. Officials at the Food Bank of South Jersey have taken it upon themselves to provide food to children who live in Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland Counties, and are in need of this type of assistance.

The service will provide thousands of children with breakfast and lunch at over 29 locations across South Jersey through the USDA's "Summer Food Service Program."

The program is set to run from June 26th through September 1st, and officials hope to relieve the hunger of all the children who will participate this year.
