Online System Helps Gloucester County Residents Register for Overnight Parking

Last Edited:

Residents in Gloucester County will have an easier time registering for overnight parking thanks to a new system.

On Thursday, June 15th, Gloucester County officials launched a new system that will allow residents living in Glassboro and Pitman to register their cars online whenever they need to park them on the street overnight.

Prior to the online system residents had to call in to register. During the regular school year, dispatchers with the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management would receive up to 250 calls a night just for parking, which took away numerous opportunities for them to help people with real emergencies.

Officials hope the new system will help free up the lines so dispatchers can focus all their time on emergency calls.
