Students Duct Tape Principal to Wall in Reading Success Event

Last Edited:

An elementary school principal made good on his word to students who stuck to their reading all year.

Back in September, Principal Tom Braddock, of Evergreen Avenue Elementary School, challenged his students to read age-appropriate book series throughout the school year.

Every time a student completed a series their name was entered into a drawing to get a piece of duct tape to stick Principal Braddock to the wall just like how they stuck to reading.

At a school-year-end event, students were recognized for their excellent reading habits and their duct-taped principal encouraged them to continue their efforts over the summer.
