VINELAND, N.J. -

Members of the Vineland Rotary Club were busy this weekend getting food together for area families in need.

On Sunday, June 11th, 100 volunteers gathered to pack and distribute 20,000 six-person family meals to local food banks for the Rotary Club's Hunger Project.

The Vineland Rotary partnered with Feeding Children Everywhere — a worldwide charity that provides ingredients for simple, protein-rich foods — for the project.

Each ready-to-eat package the volunteers put together provides 15 grams of protein and 11 grams of fiber per serving. They were delivered to various food pantries across Cumberland County, including the Vineland Salvation Army, the Southern Branch of the Food Bank of New Jersey, and the Cumberland County Shelter.
