OCEAN CITY, N.J. -

Thousands are lacing up their sneakers for this year's American Heart Association South Jersey Spring Heart Walk on Saturday, May 20th.

An anticipated 3,000 survivors, walkers, and volunteers are expected to walk to raise awareness for heart disease and encourage people to live "heart healthy" lives.

Also joining the walk are four South Jersey child congenital heart disease survivors who will be wearing red capes to be superheroes fighting against heart disease, strokes.

The event will include other activities like free health screenings, a kid zone, and music and entertainment.

It is set to begin at 9 a.m. at the Ocean City Sports and Civic Center on Fifth and Sixth streets and the Boardwalk.
