A popular South Jersey shore destination has been named the best in the nation.

The Greater Wildwoods Tourism and Development Authority announced that Wildwood Crest was named the "No.1 Summer Hot Spot in 2017" by Trip Advisor. The travel site released its 2017 Summer Vacation Value Report, which highlights the Top 50 summer destinations for U.S. travelers based on the greatest increase in hotel bookings during the season.

Wildwood Crest is one of the Wildwoods' three municipalities, best known for its expansive free beaches, iconic Boardwalk, and home to the largest collection of mid-20th-century architecture in the country.
