ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

This is the story of a great heroic rescue performed by the Atlantic City Police Department and members of the community.

When a mother duck and her six little ducklings went out for a walk on Tuesday, May 16th, she had no idea her little ones would end up falling into a storm drain on Delaware Avenue.

Two men witnessed the ducklings fall into the drain and stopped a passing officer.

Together, along with help of Public Works and Sewer Authority workers, the group was able to safely rescue all the ducklings and returned them to the water with their mother.
