VINELAND, N.J. -

On Tuesday, May 16th, a group of South Jersey middle schoolers got to celebrate the arts for the Creative Arts and Beyond event.

This is the second year Saint Mary's Regional School in Vineland hosted the event as a way to let students show off their creative skills, and have the opportunity to learn with constructive feedback.

The event brings together students from all 28 Catholic elementary schools of the Diocese of Camden, for a day filled with music, theater, and visual arts.

"We live in a very colorful and creative world," says Grace Hoffner, a drama and arts teacher at Saint Mary's Regional School. "It's extremely important that children are aware of their surroundings and art allows them that freedom. It's a time that they can express themselves either vocally or performing on a stage or through dance or through the visual arts."
